It offers homelike, versatile care and comfort to all 149 of its residents. It has single, two-person and three-person rooms, as well as space for activities, plus private areas in which to spend time with friends and family.
Tartu’s most exemplary nursing home, it boasts all the latest systems and technology. It features a massage room, a library, a reading room, private dining and recreational spaces and a large, well-equipped kitchen.
Tartu Pihlakodu aims to provide 24-hour care, to support the independence of its residents and to offer them interesting ways to pass their time.

Expenses related to personal care €1061 / per month.
Starting from July 1, 2023, under the care reform, local governments will cover personal care costs based on the established price limit (including labor costs of caregivers and assistant caregivers, their work clothing and personal protective equipment, health checks, vaccinations, training, and supervision costs).
NB! We cannot provide services to people carrying ESBL, MRSA, or tuberculosis.
The cost of the care service includes the following: accommodation, meals 4 times a day, laundry once a week, 4 diapers per day, hygiene aids, and the possibility to participate in leisure activities. Caregiver assistance also includes supervision to ensure safety.

The address of our Pihlakodu facility in Tartu is Põllu 1a.
We are located just 3 km from the city centre and Tartu bus station.
From the bus station, you can reach us directly by catching bus no. 4, 8 or 9 to our stop, ‘Põllu’.
Another option is to walk to the ‘Soola’ stop and take bus no. 25 to the ‘Vene’ stop, then change to bus no. 7 and continue to the ‘Põllu’ stop.
