Located on the green outskirts of Tapa, this nursing home (on the premises of a former hospital) has many years of history behind it.
Newly renovated in part, it offers the widest range of additional services of any Pihlakodu care home, providing its 100 residents with general care services and professional, round-the-clock nursing assistance. The complex also boasts a modern health centre and medical staff, both supporting the well-being of those in the nursing home’s care.

The cost of the care service includes the following:
Accommodation, 4 meals per day, laundry once a week, incontinence products per day (if needed), hygiene aids, participation in recreational activities and caregiver’s assistance to ensure safety, including supervision.
Pihlakodu aims to ensure that its residents receive 24-hour care appropriate to their age and condition. It supports their ability to cope independently, and enables them to take part in a variety of interesting activities.

Where to find us
The address of our Pihlakodu facility in Tapa is Valgejõe pst 14/1.
We are a 10-minute walk from the centre of town.
If coming by car from Tallinn, our nursing home is less than 100 km away. First, follow Narva Highway until you come to the Tapa-Loobu turn-off. Take it, then continue on for a further 23.3 km.
You can reach us by train or bus as well: the stop on the Tallinn-Tartu train is ‘Tapa’, and Tallinn-Narva buses no. 325 and 746 will take you directly to the centre of Tapa as well. From there, our nursing home is just 9 minutes away.
